I started it about a year back or half a year, couldn't seem to write the second half of it, and abandoned it for later. Later was apparently today, where I slapped together something and decided, ah hell, let's just post this (even if it's not very good) or it'll languish forever on my harddisk. Sadly, work has mangled my brains severely over the last month or so, so I have no idea what I just wrote, let alone whether it works.

I apologise for the sloppy quality of writing -- I was going to include a flashback sequence midway to flesh it out and because everyone loves Rufus/Reno interludes and it's a good contrast and it only serves to heighten the emotional impact buttttttttt......
